We are both a startup and a research body, and we work in collaboration with universities and research centers for 20 years already. Also, even on the commercial side, we ensure the information about taste and smell remains secure and portable, through the utilization of our open source software solution, and the use of open file standards as well. The aim of this forum is in term to become open to trading of scents and tastes formulas like Pantone does for colours standards and new colors. Hence, we will develop the concept in order to be able to support exchange and commercialization of formulas that people and organizations can come, propose and exchange. Such a project is unique and unmatched.

In this process we are not reinventing the wheel. There are measures that are being taken by food scientists and that we are getting granted access to. Also there are measurements taken by other devices (e-Noses, and various physico-chemical sensors, for instance), and Ajinomatrix software takes all these measurements and, using AI, propose a better decision making platform for the food scientist.
